"THE GULF WAR"
mY ExPERIENCE...
I didn't
really spend time in Kuwait during the war. But I heard all about it. Me,
my mother and my brother left t the States one day before the invasion.
My father
was in Kuwait, staying with my grand parents, because my grand father refused
to leave. We stayed in America almost all seven month's and came to Kuwait
a couple of month's after it. It was a miserable sight, shattered glass
and blood and torn cloths on the floor. Dirty weather which we inhaled
every day of every month. There were signs of mines and bombs. Every step
we took was a risk to our lives and to our children's lives. Kuwait was
not as it was before. Many years, were men and women building things that
only pieces of rust was left in them. Then was national and liberation
day. Now these days, the 25th and 26th of February are still significant
days in history. Thanks to all the theycountries and especially the gulf
countries, have helped make us gain our freedom back again. One thing
we will all remember is our P.O.W.s and our relatives and their children
that have been tortured, and suffered to save our country. We will
never forget our POW's. It might have been only seven month's, but the
dictator, Saddam, did ruins like seven years.
